The Des Moines Register’s Chad Leistikow has been covering the Hawkeyes for parts of four decades, dating to the start of his career at the Iowa City Press-Citizen in 1991. He is also an alum of the Cedar Rapids Gazette and USA TODAY. He returned to the Hawkeyes beat at the Register in late 2014 and has served as the newspaper’s Hawkeyes columnist for the past nine years. In addition to Legends & Listeners, Chad hosts the Hawk Central podcast, which airs three times a week during football season.
Scott Dochterman grew up in Burlington, Iowa and graduated from Western Illinois University. He worked at papers in Burlington, Muscatine, Fort Dodge, St. Joseph, Mo., and Cedar Rapids and has covered Iowa football and college sports for The Athletic since 2018. In 2023, Scott was named national Beat Writer of the Year by the Football Writers Association of America.
